The "14th Five Year Plan" National Key R&D Plan "Advanced Manufacturing and Application Key Technologies of High Performance Wood Composite Materials" Project Promotion Meeting was successfully held at Xingang Group

On May 28th, the "14th Five Year Plan" National Key R&D Plan "Advanced Manufacturing and Application Key Technologies of High Performance Wood Composite Materials" Project One "Key Technologies and Equipment for Continuous Manufacturing of High Performance Recombinant Wood" and Project Four "Key Technologies for Continuous Manufacturing of Ultrathin Fiberboard" Project Promotion Meeting was successfully held at Xingang Group.


The project consulting experts are composed of Researcher Lv Bin, Deputy Director of the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, Professor Shi Junyou, Vice President of Beihua University, Professor Zhou Yucheng of Shandong Jianzhu University, Professor Yu Zhiming, Dean of the School of Materials Science and Technology of Beijing Forestry University, and Professor Li Yongfeng of Shandong Agricultural University. Zhao Sen, Second level Inspector of Linyi Forestry Bureau, Liu Shicai, Member of the Party Group of Linyi Forestry Bureau, and Wei Gaojie, Chief of Linyi Science and Technology Bureau Liu Yucun, Director of the Science and Technology Bureau of Lanshan District. The project leader of Project 1 is Yu Wenji, a researcher at the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, and the project secretary is Zhang Yahui, an associate researcher. The project consulting experts provided detailed guidance on the problems and precautions during the execution of each sub project. This has laid a solid foundation for the smooth implementation of the project in the later stage.



The key technology for advanced manufacturing and application of high-performance wood composite materials "is a priority special project launched in 2021 for the cultivation and quality improvement of forestry germplasm resources. It is also the first national key research and development plan project in the field of wood processing during the 14th Five Year Plan period, with China allocating 47.5 million yuan in funding. This project revolves around the value-added and efficiency enhancement of wood composite materials, innovatively breaking through key preparation technologies such as high-performance wood reconstituted timber, directional structural timber, lightweight and high-strength timber, ultra-thin fiber timber, and large-sized integrated timber, solving the insufficient supply of high-quality wood resources in China, promoting the upgrading of traditional board products' performance and function, constructing a new pattern for the development of China's forestry industry, and promoting high-quality development of the industry. Topic 1 "Key Technologies and Equipment for Continuous Manufacturing of High Performance Recombinant Wood" focuses on the current situation of China's severe shortage of high-quality hard hardwood to meet consumer upgrading needs. It focuses on breaking through technologies such as continuous manufacturing of recombined wood and enhancing the functionality of recombined materials, developing equipment for continuous forming of recombined materials, and solving problems such as high labor intensity and low production efficiency in traditional recombined material processing, Build a high-performance recombinant wood continuous manufacturing technology platform, achieve phased and continuous production of recombinant materials, create high weather resistant outdoor wood recombinant materials and high-strength structural wood recombinant materials products, and demonstrate their application in furniture, outdoor and structural fields, forming a "model" for the high-value utilization of artificial forest wood, and ensuring the safety of wood supply.



The project leader of "Key Technologies for Continuous Manufacturing of Ultrathin Fiberboard", Chairman Guo Xiqiang, focused on the current situation of China's fiberboard industry and elaborated on the research significance, goals, progress, achievements, and next research content of this project. The sub project leaders, Manager Zhao Fei, President Wei Ming, Director Chang Liang, Professor Yang Chunmei, and General Manager Wang Xiaoming, respectively, provided detailed reports on their specific research tasks. The meeting conducted in-depth discussions on the implementation status and existing problems of the project, and consulting experts provided specific opinions and suggestions from aspects such as task relevance, innovation point condensation, key technological breakthroughs, research on innovative products, and fund utilization. At the same time, it was emphasized that attention should be paid to forming iconic technological achievements, integrating market demand into the project research, highlighting functional products, and promoting the application of ultra-thin fiberboard in higher value-added fields.



As a responsible unit, Xingang Group participated in the "14th Five Year Plan" national key research and development project "Key Technologies for Continuous Manufacturing of Ultrathin Fiberboard", greatly improving the technological innovation level and comprehensive research and development strength of Xingang Group.



After the meeting, the attending experts visited the Xingang Bionic Ultra Thin Fiberboard Production Line together. The Xingang biomimetic ultra-thin fiberboard production line fully introduces advanced domestic and foreign equipment and control systems such as the Yalian high-precision paving belt slow exhaust pre pressure system, Yalian ultra-high speed continuous flat press, Andritz thermal mill, high-precision dual control high-pressure glue application system, etc. to achieve an unmanned workshop, fully adopting fully automatic and international first-class equipment technology, ensuring that the board is homogeneous, pure, and environmentally friendly.


The Xingang Biomimetic Ultra Thin Fiberboard is made of high-quality New Zealand Radiated Pine as raw material, and is jointly developed with the Xingang Group and the team of Academician Li Jian from Northeast Forestry University to produce Xingang Biomimetic Adhesive; Special for lamination, with good surface flexibility technology, it can better adapt to wide changes in moisture content of the substrate, and has no worries about lamination. It refuses to explode, crack, and collapse, and has good weather resistance.
