Researcher Yu Wenji has been working for a long time at the Wood Industry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences, serving as the Director of the Recombinant Timber Engineering Technology Research Center of the National Forestry and Grass Administration, the Chief Scientist of the National "13th Five Year Plan" and "14th Five Year Plan" Key Projects, and the Chief Technical Engineer of the "Green and livable" Key Science and Technology Project Demonstration Project in Shandong Province.
Researcher Yu Wenji has conducted pioneering research in the field of biomass recombination and composite materials, mainly focusing on biomass resources such as fast-growing forest wood, bamboo, and straw. In the past 10 years, I have led more than 20 national and provincial level projects such as "863", "973", and major scientific and technological support projects, and received nearly 200 million yuan in project funding. With the support of national projects, significant breakthroughs have been made in the fields of high-performance bamboo based fiber composite materials, formaldehyde free bamboo laminated materials, new recombined wood manufacturing technology, formaldehyde free artificial boards, and straw artificial boards. Especially in the field of reconstituted materials, we have innovated in the basic theories and methods of the application of reconstituted material preparation, broken through the key technologies of high-performance reconstituted material preparation, constructed the reconstituted material technology and standard system, developed a series of products and technologies represented by bamboo steel, wood steel, and formaldehyde free reconstituted materials, and promoted the transformation and upgrading of China's artificial board industry towards high-performance reconstituted materials, Leading China in the international leading position in the field of recombinant materials.
The manufacturing technology of high-performance bamboo based fiber composite materials has been selected for the third batch of low-carbon technology catalogs by the National Development and Reform Commission. The manufacturing technology of recombinant materials is the only green technology recommended by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The relevant achievements have won one first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, two second prizes of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, seven provincial and ministerial level Science and Technology Progress Awards, one excellent Chinese invention patent award, and more than 40 international and national invention patents. 15 provincial-level or above recognized achievements, published over 200 papers in various core journals, and trained more than 30 doctoral and master's students; He has won many honorary titles, such as Outstanding Communist Party Member of the Central State Organ, National Outstanding Forestry Advanced Scientific and Technological Worker, and National Outstanding exemplary individual for Ecological Construction. The innovation team led by him was awarded the honor of "Worker Pioneer" by the All China Federation of Trade Unions for its outstanding contributions in the field of restructuring materials, and was selected as one of the first scientific and technological innovation teams of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration.
Researcher Yu Wenji led the establishment of innovation platforms such as the National Forestry and Grass Administration's Recombinant Timber Engineering Technology Research Center and the National Innovation Alliance for Recombinant Timber Industry. He served as the Secretary General of the International Alliance for Sustainable Development of Forest Products and the Chairman of the Bamboo and Wood Recombinant Timber and Products Branch of the China Forestry Industry Association, a member of the National Bamboo and Rattan Standardization Technical Committee and the National Wood Standardization Technical Committee, and a member of the Forestry Science Editorial board member of journals such as' Wood Science and Technology '. Has made outstanding contributions to the technological innovation of efficient utilization of bamboo (wood) materials in China.
In 2018, Xingang Group collaborated with Academician Li Jian of the Chinese Academy of Engineering to build the Xingang Academician Workstation, with Researcher Yu Wenji as the core member of the workstation.
